On January 24, 2006 Andover Borough, NJ fire fighters responded to a structure fire at 136 Main St. better known as the Andover Inn. The landmark building was occupied at the time of the fire. All the residents escaped from the building before fire rapidly extended and destroyed the structure. Mutual aid companies responded from several area departments to assist in battling the blaze.
