At around 3:15 A.M. on November 8, 2009 Mendham firefighters responded to 80 Ironia Road on a working house fire. Upon arrival heavy fire and smoke was showing from a 2.5 story wood frame dwelling. Mutual aid was called to the scene from Chester, Randolph, Flanders, as well as the Tanker Task Force. Heavy fire raced through the second floor and through the roof. Several handlines were used to extinguish the blaze. The fire was under control within 90 minutes. One firefighter was treated by EMS after suffering heat exhaustion. No other injuries were reported. The occupants of the dwelling escaped the blaze with out injury. Photos By: Adam Alberti
