At 1928 hours Roxbury Fire Fighters responded to 1140 Route 46 "Roxbury Circle Motel" on a reported fire in room 47. Upon arrival they found a working fire in an occupied room with possible extension to adjacent rooms. A second alarm was called bringing numerous companies to scene. Fire fighters on 1st Due Engine 12 stretched a hoseline to the seat of the fire and extinguished it quickly. Additional units checked for extension. No extension found. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Roxbury Police Department and Fire Prevention Bureau.
