ROXBURY NJ 20 TIMBERLINE DR. DWELLING FIRE 3/29/12 : Roxbury fire fighters battled a blaze that raced through a large 2.5 story wood frame dwelling. Fire fighters encountered heavy fire conditions on arrival however controlled the blaze within 30 minutes with several handlines. No one was injured during the blaze. The homeowners were not at home at the time of the blaze. Firefighters from Netcong, Flanders, and Budd Lake assisted at the scene.

ROXBURY, NJ TRUCK FIRE HILLSIDE AVE & ROUTE 10 JULY 7, 2009 : On July 7th Roxbury firefighter from Company #1 battled a vehicle fire on Hillside Avenue near Route 10. Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly and held the fire to the trucks engine compartment. The fire was exposing a large piece of construction equipment. ROXBURY, NJ HOUSE FIRE 34 WILLIAMS RD. MARCH 5, 2009 : At around 12:20 P.M. Roxbury firefighters were dispatched to the area of 28 Williams Road in the Landing Section on a report of smoke coming from a dwelling. Upon arrival police officers found smoke showing from the ridge vents of a 2.5 story frame dwelling at 34 Williams Road. Firefighters located the seat of the fire on the second floor confined to one room. A quick knockdown was made with one hoseline. The fire was under control within 20 minutes. No one was injured during the blaze. Roxbury Fire Companies 1 & 2 worked the fire. Netcong Fire Department provided a Rapid Intervention Crew while the Mount Arlington Fire Department stood by at Roxbury Station # 2. ROXBURY, NJ TRUCK VS HOUSE N. FRONTAGE RD. 2/10/09 : On February 10, 2009 Roxbury fire/ems/police responded to an unusual motor vehicle accident on North Frontage Rd. around 5:30 A.M. A tri-axle dump truck crashed into a home at the corner of North Frontage and Landing Roads. No one was injured in the accident however the home suffered severe damage as it was knocked off its foundation in the crash. The driver of the truck escaped death when the roof soffit came through the windshield near decapitating the man. The occupant of the home that was sleeping in the room that was hit by the truck but, luckily escaped injury. The Roxbury Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Photos By: Adam Alberti

Roxbury, NJ Car Fire Route 80 East 12/15/2008 : Roxbury Township firefighters responded to a car fire on Route 80 Eastbound Milepost 32.1 around 8:00 A.M. uring the morning rush hour commute. ROXBURY, NJ MVA W/CAR FIRE I-80 WB M.P. 28.3 AUGUST 14, 2008 : Just after midnight on August 14, 2008 Roxbury CO.# 2 and 3 fire and ems responded to Route 80 West Milepost 28.3 on an MVA w/Car Fire. Upon arrival I found a one car accident with the engine compartment well involved in fire. The vehicle was straddling the wall at the overpass for Route 46. The occupant of the vehicle escaped without injury. Roxbury Co. 2 fire fighters extinguished the fire and overhauled the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the wall without incident. Roxbury, NJ 94 Dell Ave May 2, 2008 Fully Involved Structure Fire : On Friday May 2nd, 2008 Roxbury Firefighters were called to 94 Dell Ave. for a fully involved structure fire. Upon arrival Chief 1 (A. Alberti) reported a 2.5 story woodframe vacant that was well involved in the rear. As the first Engine arrived heavy fire consumed most of the structure. As the first hoselines started working the structure suffered a severe collapse. The Morris County Tanker Task Force for Region 4 was requested bringing Tankers from Jefferson # 2, Mt. Arlington, Budd Lake, Chester, Ralston, and Rockaway # 3. Netcong, Wharton and Randolph fire departments also responded. The Randolph FD assisted in a 3000 foot LDH relay with Roxbury Engine 13. Wharton FD provided a draft site for tanker fill, and lighting at the scene. Netcong FD provided R.I.T. The fire took several hours to bring under control. The cause is currently under investigation. Roxbury, NJ 189 Emmans Road April 18, 2008 : Around midnight on April 18th Roxbury Firefighters responded to 189 Emmans Road on a reported shed fire. Upon arrival fireifghters found heavy fire showing from a 20x20 wood frame out building as well as a small shed. The extensive heat caused the vinyl siding to melt off of two dwellings and also caused damage to car parked in the driveway. All three Roxbury Fire Companies operated at the scene. Roxbury Twp, NJ General Alarm 219 Berkshire Valley Rd. February 26, 2007 : On February 26th Roxbury fire fighters responded to Valley Autobody at 219 Berkshire Valley Road on a reported structure fire. Upon arrival companies found heavy fire showing from the 1 story body shop. Mutual Aid responded to the scene from Wharton, Jefferson, Rockaway Twp, Picatinny Arsenal, Mine Hill, Budd Lake, Chester, and Mt. Arlington.
