Chester, NJ House Fire 22 Dogwood Dr. December 16, 2007
On Sunday December 16, 2007 Chester, NJ firefighters responded to 22 Dogwood Dr. on a reported house fire around 4:00 P.M. Upon arrival firefighters found a heavy fire condition showing from the garage and extending to the attic of the 1.5 story wood frame home. Mutual aid water tenders from Roxbury, Mendham, Washington Twp, Mendham Twp, and Budd Lake were requested to respond. Mutual aid was also requested from Flanders and Randolph for Rapid Intervention and manpower. The fire was under control within one hour. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

on May 11, 2008Yes! Does New Jersey require automatic fire safety suppression systems (sprinkler systems) in home construction and if so when did the law go in effect. I am from Hazlet Twp. origanially and I had lived in Connecticut for most of my life and in CT they have mandated automatic fire safety suppression systems in ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION effective on October 1, 2004. and I now live in the state of Texas and I am in the process of passing a new state law that requires them in ALL NEW homes built on or after September 1, 2009. September 1, is whem Texas law(s) go in effect.Your help is greatful and appreciated. Thank-You .
