Passaic, NJ 2nd Alarm 96 Park Ave. September 24, 2007
At approximately 0930 hours on September 24, 2007 Passaic Fire Dispatch recevied numerous calls for a fire at 96 Park Ave. on a reported fire w/occupants trapped. Upon arrival Deputy 1 reported a working fire in a 2.5 story frame dwelling with two occupants trapped on a porch roof. The Passaic Police removed an 11 year old boy from the porch roof using an old wooden painters ladder. When Tower Ladder 1 arrived they removed a 22 year old male via a fire department ground ladder. Companies got two lines in operation and knocked the fire down fast. The originated in the basement and was spreading to the first floor kitchen. Companies had the fire under control with 20 minutes.
