Wharton, NJ House Fire 423 North Main St. July 29, 2008

On July 29, 2008 Wharton, NJ fire fighters responded to a house fire at 423 North Main St. Upon arrival they found heavy smoke showing from a 2.5 story wood frame dwelling. Fire fighters confirmed a working fire in the attic of the dwelling. Mutual aid responded from Mine Hill and Picatinny Arsenal Fire Departments. The fire was knocked down and under control within about 20 minutes. No injuries were reported at the scene however the Wharton First Aid Squad and Mine Hill First Aid Squad were at the scene and provided rehab for fire fighters. This fire was the last job for the Wharton Snorkel. The Snorkel will be going to the Morris County Fire Fighters Training Academy. Photos By: Adam Alberti
