Just after midnight on June 11, 2009 Parsippany firefighters responded to 249 Jacksonville Dr. off Deerfield on a reported house fire. Upon arrival units found a working basement fire in a 1.5 story frame. The fire rapidly extended to the first floor and attic. Companies went to a defensive attack to extinguish the blaze. Numerous handlines and a ladderpipe were used to bring the fire under control. The occupants escaped the fire without injury. Parsippany Police and Fire Marshall are investigating the cause of the blaze. Fire districts 3, 5, and 6 worked the blaze. It took about 45 minutes to bring the fire under control.
