On January 2, 2010 at around 1:00 P.M. Plainfield firefighters responded to West Front St. and Park Ave on a reported fire on the roof. Arriving firefighters found a fire on the roof top of a 3 story commercial building. They quickly went to work on the fire and extinguished it. The fire may have been started by someone working on the roof. It is still under investigation. The fire was placed under control with 20 minutes. Mutual aid companies covered Plainfield Fire Headquarters. The North Plainfield Fire Dept responded to the scene with one engine and one truck to assist. Photos By: Adam Alberti
