Just before midnight Budd Lake Fire Department responded to a working house fire at 8 Evergreen Parkway. Upon arrival units found heavy fire showing from a 1.5 story wood frame dwelling. Firefighters used several handlines to extinguish the fire which gutted the home. The Morris County Western Tanker Task Force was dispatched to the scene however were cancelled as Budd Lake firefighters got a handle on the fire. Firefighters from Flanders assisted and Netcong provided a R.I.C. team. The fire was under control within an hour.
