Elizabeth, NJ firefighters continue to battle a multi-alarm blaze at the former Burry Buscuit factory at 819 Newark Avenue. The fire started on 12/21/11 in the late afternoon and these photos were taken just before 0700 hours on 12/22/11. Multiple mutual units from numerous departments are working on the fire which continues to burn at this time. 12/23/11 Elizabeth firefighters and mutual aid units continue to operate at the fire. The fire is being called an 8-Alarm fire. The deep seated fire continues to burn however it is not as out of control as previous. Demolition crews were at the scene surveying the building to being to open it up so fire fighters can access the flames. In the meantime it remains a defensive attack. The fire has been deemed suspicious in nature however the exact cause is unknown. All Photos by: Adam Alberti
