At around 5:30 P.M. Flanders and Budd Lake firefighters responded to 27 Tinc Road on a garage fire. Upon arrival they found heavy fire in the garage of the home and a fully involved car in the driveway. Heavy fire extended into the dwelling and spread rapidly throughout. Mutual aid from Roxbury, Chester, Washington Twp and Netcong responded to the scene to assist Mount Olive units. The fire took about 2 hours to bring under control. Firefighters were challenged with frigid temperatures and fire hydrants covered by snow. No injuries were reported at the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
