South Hackensack, NJ Structure Fire 410 Route 46 Super 8 Motel 1/11/11
At around 7:30 A.M. on Tuesday January 11, 2011 South Hackensack firefighters responded to the Super 8 Motel at 410 Route 46 on a structure fire. Upon arrival they found several rooms involved in fire on the 2nd floor of the 2 story building. Mutual aid was called to assist from the Little Ferry, Moonachie, Hackensack, and Hasbrouck Heights fire departments. The fire was knocked down within 25 minutes by several handlines and a ladder pipe. An occupant of one of the rooms was transported to the hospital with 3rd degree burns to the head and face. (2) firefighters were also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The fire may have been caused by drug paraphernalia.
