At around 3:30 A.M. Hasbrouck Heights police received calls reporting a house fire at 320 Harrison St. Upon arrival heavy fire was showing from the 2nd floor and attic of a 2.5 story wood frame private dwelling. The first due engine started and aggressive interior attack but were forced to withdraw from the building. The engine company placed their deck gun in service to knock down the bulk of the fire. Companies then wen back in the dwelling to extinguish the fire. A third alarm assignment was used to control this blaze bringing mutual aid units from Woodridge, Lodi, Little Ferry, and Moonachie to the scene. The occupant of the home escaped without injury. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
