At around 10:00 A.M. Rockaway Borough firefighters responded to 73 Keller Ave. on a reported mattress fire. The fire was upgraded to a working structure fire and fire was showing from a bedroom on the D-side of the building. Mutual aid was called from Dover, Denville, and Rockaway Township to respond to the scene. Rockaway Borough firefighters used two handlines to quickly extinguish the fire. The fire was under control within 20 minutes. No injuries were reported.
