At around 2:30 P.M. Scotch Plains fire fighters were dispatched to 2239 North Avenue on a truck on fire at the Lukoil Gas Station and extending to the building. Upon arrival fire fighters found several vehicles, and the rear repair garage well involved in fire. Several handlines and two ladder pipes were used to bring the fire under contro. It took about 1 hour to bring the fire under control. Mutual aid responded from Westfield, Linden, Roselle, and Plainfield. No injuries were reported at the scene. The Union County Hazmat was on scene to contain run-off from the fire. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
