Roxbury, NJ 94 Dell Ave May 2, 2008 Fully Involved Structure Fire
On Friday May 2nd, 2008 Roxbury Firefighters were called to 94 Dell Ave. for a fully involved structure fire. Upon arrival Chief 1 (A. Alberti) reported a 2.5 story woodframe vacant that was well involved in the rear. As the first Engine arrived heavy fire consumed most of the structure. As the first hoselines started working the structure suffered a severe collapse. The Morris County Tanker Task Force for Region 4 was requested bringing Tankers from Jefferson # 2, Mt. Arlington, Budd Lake, Chester, Ralston, and Rockaway # 3. Netcong, Wharton and Randolph fire departments also responded. The Randolph FD assisted in a 3000 foot LDH relay with Roxbury Engine 13. Wharton FD provided a draft site for tanker fill, and lighting at the scene. Netcong FD provided R.I.T. The fire took several hours to bring under control. The cause is currently under investigation.
